It's another amaaaazing way to spent a day in Bali!

As tourism stduent, I got task from my class about visiting touristy destination in Bali. So, my friends and I decided to choose Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, cause we were curious about how the hospitality industry work in Heritage Site of UNESCO.

Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is located in Penebel, Tabanan Regency. It's about 2 hours from Ngurah Rai Airport, and 1 hours 30 minutes from Denpasar. I recommend you to get there by a car, considering the distance is quiet long from the capital city.

To enter this place, you have to buy an entrance ticket are about Rp. 15.000 for domestic and Rp. 40.000 for foreigner.

What makes Jatiluwih special to be UNESCO Heritage Site?
The Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is very laaaaarge rice fields ( I guess it's larger than Tegalalang Rice Fields in Ubud). The special thing is the fields still using a subak system as a manifaction of Tri Hita Karana (Balinese's philosophy) for the water management. That's the reason why this place become one of the UNESCO Heritage Site, because the subak system is the local genius from Bali.

The scenery is very beautiful, while enjoying it you can do many things such as trekking the fields, eat some local foods, and talking with the farmer there. And also you can rent a bicylce for trekking.

Not only the rice terrace, you can enjoy the beauty of Batu Karu Mount and if the wheather is good, you can see a shade of Mount Agung too!

Anyway, Jatiluwih is a name of the village, so the rice terrace is the livelihood of the citizens there.
